DESTINY, FATE OR CHANCE

WELL LAST NIGHT WAS A BIT ODD WITH ALL THE TV I WATCH IN A WEEK, SUNDAYS ARE USUALLY A PRIMARY COUCH POTATO SIESTA FOR ME. WE DO HAVE DIRECT TV AND THEY WERE SHOWING ALL KINDS OF FREE CABLE- EVERY CHANNEL WAS ON THIS WEEKEND. OF COURSE WE DID NOT REALIZE THAT UNTIL SATURDAY NIGHT! SO FORTUNATELY, FOR THE GREAT INVENTION OF TIVO WE SAT BACK AND RECORDED AS MANY MOVIES AS WE COULD FIND ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I AM MISSING GREYS BUT DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES WAS ENTERTAINING.

I AM COMING INTO THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL FOR MY ELDEST, WITH ONLY 3 WEEKS LEFT FOR THE OTHER 3 KIDS. IT IS
ABUSY TIME OF YEAR WHICH IS WHY MY BLOG HAS BEEN SO EASLIY NEGLECTED. THE RESPONSES I GOT FROM MY LAST POSTWERE VERY SWEET. I DO TAKE KIND WORDS TO HEART. SO THANK YOU ALL FOR THOSE.

THE MERE IDEA OF POSSIBLY MOVING IS UPON US ONCE AGAIN. ONCE WE HEAR EITHER- OR, I AM SURE THAT THIS BLOG WILL DEFINITELY GO ON THE BACK BURNER. EVERY TIME WE HAVE MOVED IN THE PAST WE HAVE ALWAYS TRIED TO SWEETEN THE DEAL FOR THE KIDS. THIS TIME OUR PROMISE WAS THAT A 5 BEDROOM WOULD BE A MUST SO THAT THEY WOULD EACH HAVE THEIR OWN ROOM AND A POOL IS A POSSIBILITY SINCE INSISTING ON THAT WOULD BE LIMITING US TO LESS VARIETY.
THERE IS STILL A 10 % CHANCE WE COULD STAY WHICH IS :) SMILES:) FOR THE KIDS. BUT LAST NIGHT I WAS LYING IN BED TRYING TO FALL ASLEEP...PITCH BLACK ROOM... COMPLETE SILENCE. I START TO REALIZE THAT THIS IS NOT OUR ROOM, I BEGIN TO IMAGINE MYSELF IN ANOTHER ROOM WHERE MAYBE THE WINDOW IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BED OR THE BATHROOM IS ON MY SIDE INSTEAD OF AT THE FOOT OF THE BED. THEN IS STRETCHES OUT TO OUR NEIGHBOR WON'T BE OUR NEIGHBOR ANYMORE. DID I GET TO KNOW THEM WHILE I WAS HERE? THE MERE RUMOR OF MOVING BEGINS THE DETACHMENT PROCESS FOR ALL OF US TO SOME DEGREE. IT AT TIMES RUNS SO DEEP THAT UNLESS YOU HAVE LIVED THAT LIFE OF THE UNKNOWN DESTINY , IT IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND. I DO KNOW A FEW OF YOU READERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS WHETHER THROUGH BEING A MILITARY WIFE OR EVEN MOVING AROUND AS A CHILD. AS WE ANXIOUSLY AWAIT THE
CALL. I'M NOT COMPLAINING I GO EVERY TIME OPPORTUNITY HAS PRESENTED ITSELF. I FEEL THAT WHEN WE KNOW WE'RE DONE THE FEELING WILL BE OVERWHELMING.
THE PLUS IS NOW THAT I HAVE THIS BLOG TO VENT, JOURNAL OR JUST SPEAK MY MIND...I CAN UNLOAD ABOUT MOVERS, REAL ESTATE AGENTS, SHOWINGS...KEEPING THE HOUSE CLEAN WITH 4 KIDS IN THE HOUSE. AND THEN MAYBE AGAIN THAT 10 % WIL HAPPEN AND THIS WOULD HAVE ALL JUST BEEN FOR ENTERTAINMENT.

I don't know how you do it. All that moving, and with four kids. I hope every thing works out for you.

I honestly thought when we settled back into NY, that we'd never have a different phone number. I'm actually glad I was wrong. After we moved I said "I'd NEVER move them after 4th grade or so", but I see how adaptable and loving and close your family is, and I see that it isn't so bad.

I'm sure it is comforting that wherever you are and wherever you go, you'll always have eachother.

I keep a quote in my date book. "After all of our exploring we will return to the place we came from and know it again for the first time." It always meant NY, but I guess we'll just have to see :)

I've moved a lot too ---- always willing and ready to read about the trechery and emotion. Hope that if you want to stay, that that's what happens. When would all this occur?

Kvetch- The word is suppose to be this week. Every time the phone rings and my husbands name is on the caller ID my heart skips a beat. Then he'll ask something crazy like, Did you finish [painting yet?
