I'm trying to think of the movie (I am sure it is a meg ryan movie but I could be wrong) that has two people chatting about that moment when your happy and you realize you need nothing more in life then what you have at that very moment....and as quickly as the moment comes...it's gone. AAARGGH I cannot think of which movie it is......anyway the point is I completely relate!
FINALLY IT HIT ME ------
REALITY BITES- WHEN WINONA RYDER AND BEN STILLER ARE SITTING ON THE BACK OF HIS CONVERTIBLE DRINKING BIG GULPS and suckers SECONDS AWAY FROM A HUGE MAKE OUT MOMENT THAT THE VERY CUTE ETHAN HAWKE WALKS UP ON WHILE "oohhh baby i love your way" IS PLAYING ON THE CAR RADIO. HUUUGE FAN OF THAT MOVIE AND GREAT SOUNDTRACK....THANKS FOR PLAYING EVERYONE. I WILL HAVE TO CHECK OUT EVERYONES GUESSES TO SEE IF THOSE SCENES ARE SIMILAR.
There is a street that I drive down in our old neighborhood. I am not really sure what it is about this street that affects me this way but, it has HUGE trees and when the bright sun is shining I think to myself....."I cannot believe this is my life, I have 4 healthy children, a brand new car, a great house, an amazing helpful husband, the best friends a person can have!" All of this happens in a moments notice with the sun soaking it's rays through the trees, and then all of a sudden the street comes up to a stop sign.....and the moment has passed.
Actually it could have been a Sex and the City episode! anyway.....
I am having that tonight...
A moment of appreciating my life! I know that God has me exactly where I need to be for a reason. There has been much stress in our lives lately but we have our health, our home, and great family and friends.
We are traveling to the new home tomorrow so the kids can see it and I am hoping for the rays of sun to peek at us in our drive there or when we arrive. I do not know why this is so nourishing for me but it is.
So if you see the sun peeking in on you or even shining down on your child APPRECIATE LIFE, embrace it, and be thankful for that moment of sheer bliss
because as quickly as you feel it...the moment is gone.
NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW!
