As you can see from my previous post...I watch me some TV!
Why, you ask? Gee...I don't know? MAYBE it's because we live in Wisconsin and it is April and it is spring break and my kids are all home and I woke up to SNOW on the ground this morning!!!
(please excuse my run on sentence, it was required to get my point across)
Are these adorable or what? We also have Glenda the good witch but she's MIA right now. I have my eye set on the Wicked Witch, Lion, & Dorothy. It's all about McDonalds right now. All 4 of my kids L-O-V-E-D The Wizard of Oz when they were each 18 months old. I don't know what it is about that age but for some reason that is when they had the attention span to sit through it. They all 4 went through the stage of the red slippers, carrying the basket and putting a stuffed animal in it to represent Toto! Movin' dad said it was his grandpa's favorite movie to watch every year at this time.
So I'm chatting away the other day with my younger brother, when I realized that my adorable niece who loves to sing and dance has never seen it! She's already 26 1/2 months old. She's lost so many months already! So I called my mom and said, you have to buy it for her. Then go to McDonalds and get her the toys that go along with it!!! If she loves it I will send her our red shoes, basket, and of course the Dorothy costume my daughter wore for Halloween when she was 2 years old.
I just realized that all we have is the VHS version. I need to update it to a DVD. There's just something about that movie that we love. No matter what your age or gender is, I have never met a person who didn't like it.
Movin' mom can say, "There's no place like home!"
"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!"

Hey! We have the witch and the lion. A 20ish-yr-old guy gave us the lion in an airport. I'm not sure why he bought himself a Happy meal but whatever. Anyway, I'll give you those next time I see you.
That picture is so cute! I love the Wizard of Oz too! My kids were kind of afraid of it for some reason though when they were younger. We'll have to try to watch it again :-)
I didn't see it for the first time until I was in my late thirties. A shock, I know. Didn't see Gone with the Wind until then, either. Didn't like Gone but I liked Oz. But, by then, there was so much hype...
Very cute photo. Love Oz too. Never seen Gone With The Wind. Cazy, I know.
I didn't know these were there...guess what I'm havin for lunch today!
