HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Well today is my birthday... I had a fabulous day yesterday. There is nothing better than great friends, great lunch, shopping, manicure/pedicure and of course a beautiful day!
But the best part was the laughter, we had such a good time and got a little silly.
There are pictures but we will see if I post them or not. You know it's not nice to post pics of friends without their permission.

I have not yet ordered my DNA test so I cannot update you guys with this little ditty yet! But more info Coming soon...

What have I learned over my 39 years of age...hhmmm....well....
have learned the importance of a great set of girlfriends, growing up I was mostly friends with boys. When I was in Michigan I acquired an awesome set of girlfriends that were a part of my daily life, ups and downs, goods and bads, during the happy, sad, mad , glad, and all of the fad's! This was probably my first experience "belonging" to a group of girls.
Then moving here I was fortunate enough to meet another fabulous group of women.
whom I love dearly and their families. They love my children, my husband, and my dog. Maybe this is something that you have all had but growing up with only brothers,
I must say that I am happy to be able to teach my daughter the importance of girlfriends.

I have learned Faith. That should have probably been before girlfriends but ....

I am very happy with my life and I attribute that all to God. There have been so many times that I know I am meeting someone because it is a part of his plan. Someone that I can help or in turn help me. Many times it has been through words or guidance or even a connection through an experience. My faith in knowing that no matter what...
everything will be okay. This allows me to breath to look at my children and smile and know that so far they have all chosen to travel Gods path, and to look at my husband with love and admiration and thank God for him everyday. I am grateful, not because of "what we have" but because even if it were all gone we would still have each other, love, faith, laughter and the knowledge that we have God who will take care of us.

For those of you that I have lost through my last paragraph ...
I try very hard to never come across as the "holy roller" that everyone runs from
including me. No one wants to be preached to. I find that everyones journey is that of his own. But it is my birthday and I felt it important to put that out there.

Now...
Our movie theatre down the street has emailed me a free ticket for my birthday...wouldn't it be better if it were for two? My son wants the two of us to go and see a scary movie...Hello.....it's MY birthday.....I would rather laugh then scream, of course my screaming would make him laugh.

OKAY who saw American Idol.....I know that it is not a secret that I am Chris' biggest fan. When he sang my #7 song last nightMovin' Mom: Thursday Thirteen my entire family looked at me because I sing that song all of time.

I LOVED this post! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I try not to be a "holy roller", too, but I think my faith has kept me from going crazy lately.

NO WAY! I must go down and watch my taped Americal Idol RIGHT NOW! There isn't any way on this earth that you are Chris' biggest fan. I think I outweigh you by at least a few pounds, so technically I'M his biggest fan! But I think it's cool that he sang a song just for you and your birthday. Very thoughtful. ;)

Holy cow mama, you look FANTASTIC for 39...which begs the question, then what does 39 look like? because it looks like you. (By the way, I'm just a year behind you, lest you think I'm some snide little whippersnapper.)

Happy Birthday!
